Location just off marina, all the best restaurants and the center of Lavandou. Modern, bright unit with balcony overlooking the Med and mini bar. Welcoming services, the private parking was available nearby.

The staff were absolutely courteous, helpful and friendly. The washroom was wonderful, being quite roomy, well-appointed, bright, and fresh. The room was faultlessly clean. We slept well...outside noise was slight at its worst...silent at its best (Note: it was cool and we had the windows closed). Though we did not make use of it, there was a pleasant-looking restaurant on the second floor, overlooking the beach, the promenade and the boules courts. The location is very convenient - the town and shopping are behind, and the beach and sea are in front. The small fridge was appreciated for storing cheese, strawberries, and beveridges. This was a very pleasant facility with courteous and decent operators and staff.
There is nothing we did "not like" about this hotel. However, we would note that the view of the sea from the balcony was on a somewhat oblique angle from our room (we had a room with a balcony at the side of the building, not fronting on the seaside). Primarily, it was a view of the City Hall, unless you positioned your chair a certain way. If you want to truly see the sea spread before you, I would suggest specifying the seafront rooms.

The hotel is pleasant and overall clean, has delightful views of the beach & sea. The location is perfect, appreciated to be near some leisure places, we've visited restaurants and bars. The good restaurant with brilliant food and wine at reasonable prices is a nice plus.

Fabulous location right on the beach. Rooms are fine - quite big tho the hotel isn't so still feels more like a guest house. Breakfast is good value but plenty of places to eat out if you prefer.

Very welcoming and helpful staff. Room clean and functional. Bathroom facilities adequate. Quiet (many rooms with sound-proofing). Top floor (3rd) has only 4 rooms - other two floors share the remainder of the bedrooms. Breakfast room/tea room is small but has a wonderful view out onto the beach about 20 metres away and lots of shops/restaurants are very near (within 10 metres). Centre of town around 100 metres away. Public parking nearby (at the harbour 11 euro/24H - May 2011).
Only 7 carparking spaces. Limited variety at breakfast if you stay beyond a few days. Few of the 23 rooms appear to have sea view (at a premium). One lift (just big enough for a wheelchair or pram?). Not suitable for those who cannot climb stairs - 2 sets (one each for daytime and evening access) means disabled access doesn't appear to be available into the hotel.

The owners, Philippe and Brigitte, were very welcoming. The hotel is perfectly situated in a lovely square directly opposite the beautiful beach, and near the marina. The two rooms we stayed in were spacious and very comfortable, and breakfast had all you need in a lovely room looking out over the square and seaside. Le lavandou is perfect for a relaxing holiday, and we would definately stay in Hotel Espadon again!
